The Main Focus of Torque Release Technique

Dr Sony Canteenwala assessing the spine.Torque Release Technique (TRT) focuses on vertebrae situated at the top and bottom of the spine. At these points, the spinal cord attaches to the vertebrae. The spinal cord is like a guitar string anchored at the two ends of the spinal column, so misalignments of these specific vertebrae create a chain reaction and cause the body to compensate. The areas of compensation are typically the areas patients pinpoint as the location of their discomfort. By precisely adjusting the vertebrae at the ends of the cord, spinal cord tension is released – ultimately, allowing the body to decompensate using its own, true healing from within.

How Does Torque Release Technique Work?

Torque Release Technique uses gentle touch and light, manual tapping of a small, handheld instrument called an Integrator. This gentle adjusting method allows the nervous system to better understand the new corrective information and to process it more efficiently throughout the spinal cord and brain.

Imagine that your nervous system has a volume control. If the volume is too loud, it causes distortion with internal organ complaints an musculoskeletal stresses. As a result, your body becomes weak and does not receive critical messages, which leads to sluggishness, reduced performance, and poor muscle support. Torque Release aims to correct these problems by normalizing the functioning of the nerves, spinal cord, and brain.

The primary intent of Torque Release is to reduce blockages and tension of the entire spinal system, release trapped, unresolved patterns, and facilitate reintegration of the nervous system. After each adjustment, the body is given time to process the change, and correction continues with continuous movements and breathing. This process teaches and empowers the body to make corrections. To ensure that healing progresses, repeated visits are necessary.

Benefits

Dr. Canteenwala’s initial interest in Torque Release technique derived from how comfortable it made the patient. The low-force instrument used in this technique allows the patient to feel barely more than a gentle tap at a very specific location and angle. At Canteenwala Chiropractic, patient health and comfort are the main considerations. Torque Release Technique is an easy-going, effective way to address many sources of pain.
